Within the 400-mile
loop through the Sierra Madre Mountains and the majestic Copper Canyon you will experience fantastic
single lane dirt riding, incredible canyon vistas, fascinating
native culture, and a feeling of adventure that only foreign travel
has to offer.
By means of a single
lane dirt road, we will rise from the thorn scrub of the desert,
to the cliff hanging, pine covered passes of the mountains, descend
deep into canyons with cascading waterfalls and challenging river
crossings.
Ahead of you lies not only
the "Real Mexico," where people live closely to the
land, where families have lived in the same villages for generations, and
where history is still evident and time seems to move a bit more
slowly, but also the exciting and gloriously majestic copper canyon. |
Burned out on BAJA? Want to ride in the mountains and see "Real Mexico"? It's easy to put your bike on the ferry and come over to the mainland. Alamos is a short distance from the ferry landing of Topolobampo.
We will stay in the
villages of Cerocahui, Urique, Temoris, and Chinipas, and meet
some of the characters that make Mexico special. This is not just
a typical ride through the mountains, it's a ride through the glorious and famous copper canyon. |
